How it all began
When I was a very young man, my Dad befriended the president of a notorious motorcycle club in Southern California. Watching these guys ride up the street was a sight that I will never forget. Hair blowing in the wind (long before helmet laws in the golden state), the sun shining on their faces, and the attention and respect that people showed them made me long for the day that I could ride my own bike.
At 14 years old, a buddy of mine came across a little Honda enduro…the love of riding had just begun. I graduated from that little 90cc motorcycle to a 550cc sport bike, then to a 750cc For a few years I rode around on these sport bikes, acting like a fool and tempting fate.
Fast forward a few more years and I finally bought my first cruiser! It was not nearly as fast, but why do I need to go 150MPH? This was what I had been longing for…the loud rumble of that V Twin made me forget all about the inline 4’s that I had ridden for so long.
Now that I am a little older and a little calmer, i really enjoy getting out and seeing this great country of ours.
Traveling in a normal car is fine, but a convertible is even better because there is no roof to obstruct your view of things. But if you really want to experience all that this great country has to offer, see it on a motorcycle! There is nothing getting in your way of feeling the wind on your face, seeing all of natures beauty, and enjoying every mile traveled.
Why I am writing this blog.
I want to share some of the adventures that my friends, family, and i have experienced. I hope that while you are reading these posts you become inspired to fire up the bike and start making memories of your own.
Maybe you already ride but you are looking for new ideas on where you can take a day trip or a 2 week long run. I hope that i can help you to find that inspiration you are looking for.
One more thing, if you have any ride suggestions? I would love to hear from you, please leave a comment and tell me about your experience.
All the best,
